| C. I. Pigment: | Green 17 | C. I. NO.: | 77288 |
A black pigment with high solar reflectivity produced by high temperature calcination. It is chemically inert, has exceptional heat resistance, weathering and lightfastness properties and high infrared reflectance. Due to these properties, the 4117 is recommended for use in applications where resistance to heat, light and weathering are needed. It is compatible with most resin systems and polymers and is non-bleeding, non-warping and non-migratory.
The 4117 can be used to replace carbon blacks to reduce temperature effects from exposure to sunlight. Typical applications for the 4017 are for use in plastics.
