1238 is a bluer shade, semi opaque napthol red. 1238 is yellower in shade than Pigment Red 266.
1238 is recommended primarily for water flexo inks. Possible additional uses can be found in printing inks where in print it is bluer in shade, similar to the standard magenta for three color printing.
