Our sole focus is pigments. LANSCO selects the sources that offer excellent quality consistently and excellent value. We shop the world, sourcing pigments from about 70 different factories in 15 countries to bring our customers exceptional value.

LANSCO is the largest importer of Organic pigments from Asia. Some of our Organic pigments are toll produced using our formulas and raw materials.

We are also an important supplier of Aluminum Paste from Sweden, Anti-Corrosive Pigments from Norway, Ultramarine Blues from India, Lead Chromates from Japan and Mexico, Titanium Dioxide from the Ukraine and a large distributor of Chromium Oxide Green from five different sources throughout the world.

History

We have 80 years of experience at LANSCO.

LANSCO Colors, formerly known as Landers Segal Color Company, has been in business for 80 years. We are a privately owned company that started as a regional distributor, and in the last 30 years, has become a national distributor of pigments.

Our employees are a UNIQUE blend of knowledge and experience.

Each of our three owners has more than 25 years of experience in pigment distribution. Most of our employees were successful at multi-national pigment manufacturers and have implemented their best practices to create a world-class pigment supplier.

We travel the globe to evaluate hundreds of pigments and to visit many factories to find the best products at the lowest prices. We work with our factories to help them develop standards that match key industry standards for the intended application.

LARGE inventory and prompt deliveries are our hallmarks.

Many pigments we sell are made exclusively for LANSCO from ISO certified factories. Every lot is tested and approved in our U.S.A. laboratory by pigment experts to maintain the quality for which we are known. We keep a sizeable inventory in our 17 warehouses and offer excellent on-time delivery performance.

Our factories have low overhead and costs. They source the lowest cost raw materials from quality suppliers, enabling them to provide the most competitive prices. They take pride in this area, and invest their small profits back into their business to support rapid growth.

Quality Control

Quality pigments are our guarantee.

LANSCO quality control laboratory in Rhode Island closely monitors all batches of all pigments that we sell.

Following are the key elements of our Quality Control program:

  • Ensure the factory has the capability to supply the quality our customers require batch after batch.
  • Evaluate pigments by test methods commonly used by our customers.
  • Coordinate test procedures with factories.
  • Modify the quality if necessary to meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Test every lot of organic pigments and review and test as necessary every lot of inorganic pigments by our Rhode Island based quality control labs.
  • Never ship out of specification or even "marginal" quality material to our customers.
  • Exceed customer expectations for consistent quality.
